American Born Chinese is an upcoming action comedy television series and will air on Disney+. It is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang. Filming had begun in Los Angeles by February 2022.
Synopsis[]
Jin Wang, struggling with his school life and home life, meets the new foreign exchange student at his school, leading him to become involved in a battle between Gods of Chinese mythology.

Production[]
On October 4, 2021, Disney+ revealed it had greenlit an adaptation of the Gene Luen Yang graphic novel and ordered it straight to series, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing the series.[1]
The cast were announced in February 7, 2022. Filming started days later.
